General description

The fuel system will handle, filter and regulate the correct amount of fuel required for engine operation. The system consists of a fuel feed pump, several high-grade filters, a high-pressure fuel injection pump for each cylinder bank and state-of-the-art fuel injection nozzles. Our engines are fitted with mechanical driven fuel injection pumps. These pumps are known for their high reliability and are still able to perform to the high demands for efficiency and performance required by today's end-users.

Correct fuel
In an ever-changing world of alternative fuels, it is vital to follow the fuel quality specifications of our engines. Non-compliant (alternative) fuels could possibly have an effect on engine performance. Using compliant fuel will keep performance according to engine specifications and will also assist with ease of maintenance.

Water in fuel
Water and fuel do not mix, literally and figuratively. Fuel containing water will reduce engine performance and increase maintenance cost. Regular checking and draining of fuel tanks and fuel filters on water content will help to get the most efficient performance out of the engine.

Fuel filter
The use of genuine brand fuel (and oil) filters will keep harmful contaminants out of the fuel before the fuel injection pump and the fuel injector nozzles. These parts use very high standards of tolerances and are adjusted to the demands of our engines. Alternative brand filters do not have this guarantee.
